DESCRIPTION     
Have fun with watercolor like never before.  Zoya demonstrates her award winning tape & spray technique. Learn to easily create your own stencils with tape. initial exercises that will give you the confidence to jump in. Students will walk away with two or more multi-layered compositions. All levels of ability are welcome. Bring a brown bag lunch. Class size is limited to 9. Please see materials list below.

MATERIALS LIST
Paints: At least one tube of each primary color: yellow, red and blue. (tubes not cakes)
3 Brushes: one Round or Chinese brush, size 8,10 or 12, one- Flat ¼-1/2 inch and one- Rigger
Please be sure to have tubes rather than cakes of paint.
Paper: Two sheets Arches cold press watercolor paper 22x30 or smaller, 140 lbs. or heavier
Palette: one palette with sections for washes
Misting Spray bottles, four or more small (travel size)
Tape (Green Frog brand, green color seems to work best)  
Utility or Xacto-knife,
Self-healing board (for cutting on)
 
What else might come-in handy?
Masking fluid, Pencil, Eraser, Extra palettes, Sketch/note pad, Natural Sponge, Water jar, Image file, Ink pens, snacks.

11:30-12:00 Critique: options to optimize composition
 
12:00-12:15 Demo mixing & spraying watercolor (layer#1)*with stencils & some areas pre-wet.
 
12:15-12:30 Students mix & spray colors (layer#1)
 
12:30--1:10 LUNCH BREAK
 
1:10-2 Demo going back in, evaluating and adding brushes/pens/more spraying
 
2-2:30 Students go back in with brushes
 
2:30-3clean & share
